One part of my work is to help you with a plan of action. To learn how to express your feelings in a way that is respectful and without anger or resentments.
What I have seen so many times, working with communication between couples and families, is people blaming each other, saying that once the other person changes, my life or our life will be great. They don’t want to do the work necessary to get there. Only blame the other. I help people build the inner strength to deal with whatever life throws at them, as it often does for all of us.
Blaming and hiding won’t give you the happiness you want and deserve. It’s about learning skills to build self-confidence, to speak up for yourself and say what you want, and what you don’t want. Then see what you need to change and stop blaming the other. Be the creator, not the victim in life. Start expressing your feelings, not repressing them.
My intention and mission for my clients is finding the key to their past that has been locked, and unlock it together, to start the healing which then leads to the road of freedom of the past, living in the present with respectful communication, allowing for self-love and love of others.
You have the power and right to learn what you need in order to have the most amazing life. It is your inalienable right to be happy!

Joyce Alexander Black, M.A.
Joyce was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with a pre-med background. Specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy, and as a coach, she has worked with organizations such as the YMCA, child foster services, hospice training, Los Angeles mental health facilities, Selma Jails for women inmates, a girls home, a boys home, elementary and high schools in Los Angeles, as well as working privately with adults, couples and groups. Her work has helped women and men to find their voice and create healthy boundaries.
